They decide to learn as much as they can about the animals that live there, whilst wondering what they will grow into in the future. Wondering around copying all of the exotic animals they interat with the pre-school audience by copying the creatures they see and having an educational dialouge with the viewer. Due to the great mix of live footage and advanced CGI most children will think that these creatures really do exist and adults can see their appeal – especially with the catchy theme song. The series is produced by Pukeko Pictures with filmaker Richard Taylor (known for his infamous work within The Lord of The Rings films), Martin Baynton (an established children’s author) and the Academy Award winning Weta Workshop who are in charge of CGI effects, all based in New Zealand where the series first aired in March of 2009 before being distributed over the globe.

The animation is truely fantastic and must be seen to be believed. These two, loveable little aliens have developed a loyal children’s and can also include adults within their fan base. In the UK it’s possible to watch The Wot Wots on Channel 5, weekdays at 8.40am and weekends – Saturday & Sunday at 7.15am. The show also airs in New Zealand and Australia where a lot of the footage was shot, namely within Auckland Zoo, Wellington Zoo and Melbourne Zoo, however recently there has been footage taken at London Zoo with parents and their children invited along to see the footage being taken.
